Delete your account

You can permanently delete your own account at any time, from inside the app. You do not need to ask us, and there is no waiting period.

How

1. Sign in at app.carroster.net or in the mobile app.
2. Open Settings.
3. Choose Delete my account and follow the steps.

Deletion lives in the app on purpose: it requires signing in, re-confirming your password, and — if you are an admin or an owner — your second factor too. That way only the person actually using the account can remove it.

What happens

The same wording the app shows you before you confirm:

• Deleted immediately: your sign-in, your profile, every signed-in device, and any two-factor setup.
• Anonymized: entries you made in your organization's activity log stop naming you.
• Kept: trips, damage reports and reservations. They record a driver's name as text and belong to your organization, not to your account.

One exception

You are the only owner of an organization, and other people still belong to it. An organization cannot be left without an owner, so the account cannot be deleted yet. Make someone else an owner first, then come back.
